Something is wrong with this picture. I think it’s time for someone (the government, perhaps) to step in and help us. Someone is taking advantage of the situation and it needs to be stopped before it gets more out of hand.

Yikes.
That sounds like a bad decision on their part. Sure it would cut costs but, when service industries cut service the also cut their customer base…
