  1. I’ve read numerous reports and articles on stuff like this, but it mostly has to do with games making people violent. It’s been proved and disproved and countered and back-and-forth’d since Mortal Kombat I.

But desensitizing people to the violence? Debatable for sure, but I wager it’s difficult for those opposed to the idea. I suppose the argument is in whether or not it’s possible for *virtual* violence to have the same effect as *real* violence. Well, I would say probably.

I try to stay out of stuff like this, but it’s likely safe to say that desensitization does take place. Watch enough violent movies and the same thing would probably happen.

I dunno, the whole idea kinda seems obvious to me. “Duh,” as it were.

  2. I think that things affect people in different ways. I personally don’t feel like a violent person nor do I feel desensitized by violence in video games or movies and I watch/play either from time to time. I think it takes someone with an already damaged mental state to become violent or so desensitized that they would think stabbing someone and stealing a car would be normal. /shrug.
